truck parts Day 12 - Crested Butte, CO

CANADA Bound - Day 12 finds us exploring with our friends Will and Nancy as we make a big loop out of Paonia, CO heading up Hwy 133 to Route 12 to Crested Butte. Route 12 was scheduled to open 2 days ago but they hadn't finished plowing it until yesterday. The small town of Crested Butte is primarily a winter skiing town at about 8,800 feet of elevation. The town is touristy and quaint at the same time with distinct architecture and youth culture. We grabbed a bite to eat and then went for a stroll. People were friendly and every other person on the street was walking a dog. Dog boutique and pet -goods stores were common. It was a perfect day to go exploring.
